What is the best way to view lowdown?

Lowdown is a tablet experience primarily, designed for viewing on the iPad but it is also available on the iPhone and iPod touch as well as Android. Anyone can view it using any browser with our basic web viewer or with the PocketMags Silverlight viewer.

What can I win in Issue 5?

How big is lowdown?

lowdown is 40mb with around 50 pages so loading will depend on your internet speed, this is the lowest file size possible whilst retaining high quality images and video. The best way is to download it all in one go in our app. We suggest you download the magazine as issue only and stream the videos.

How do I advertise?

How do I subscribe?

You can subscribe to our newsletter below, you will be sent no more than three emails per month.

To subscribe in app simply tap subscribe and you will get a free 12 month subscription.

Who are Pocketmags?

We have partnered with PocketMags to provide apps for Android and iOS Newsstand. You can also view magazines on the web and Facebook. PocketMags apps sometimes require registration with their service for the purpose of subscriptions and being able to re-download issues. The only details that are used are your name and email.

I have errors with the app

Some common errors include :

I can’t get past sign up to PocketMags – This is incorrectly set as the splash screen, you will see it says loading please wait at the bottom, this will be fixed in an upcoming update.

No internet connection error – Simply click register later and you can download all issues normally for free.

Crashing – This depends on device and if the app was quit properly. If you experience any crashing delete and re-download. Every issue is free so you won’t lose anything.

Retina display support – Issue 5 onwards supports the retina display of the iPad and other devices.

Videos aren’t loading – If you haven’t downloaded the issue with video they are streamed from a server so this depends on your internet connection and the sever.

Black screen – This is an issue with the servers and should be resolved soon.
