The Penguin Patrol need your help, baby penguins are trapped on thin ice and its your job to save them. With over 50 levels, with increasing levels of difficulty you must attempt to get three stars on each level to achieve the best score! If you really want you can also unlock all the levels in app by paying the same price again (that you originally paid)

Positives

The controls are very simple and easy to pickup, you simply hold your finger on the screen and map out the path you want the character to go. Lift your finger and he’ll stop. If you make an error you can undo your moves back to where you feel comfortable that you can complete the level. The graphics are a nice touch, very detailed and look nice on the retina display. The game is very easy to begin with, this lets you get used to what you have to do. There is also an iPad version available in the app store.

Negatives

The initial loading time takes a good 10 seconds to get you to the main menu. I’ve tested this three or four times and got the same result, the screen doesn’t animate during this so you could think that the device has frozen – it hasn’t.

Final Verdict

I love games like these, although they are fairly simple (even for me) I think a lot of work has gone into the design and thought of the game and I really think this is a good game, though its a tough market as this isn’t the only game like this with the same idea so developers really have to up their game to beat the competition. Penguin Patrol definitely does this well.
